Founder & CEOKatherine I. Carleton is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Auvyrn Technologies C5ISREW, where she leads the design and delivery of high-assurance decision and intelligence systems for mission-critical environments.
Her professional background spans aerospace engineering, Defence, and advanced systems development, with over two decades of experience operating across highly regulated, safety-critical, and multi-stakeholder contexts. She has worked within environments where system failure carries safety, sovereign, or strategic consequences, requiring disciplined governance, auditability, and trusted decision support.
Katherine has held senior technical and executive leadership roles across both government and private industry, including the design, delivery, and oversight of complex ICT and synthetic systems programs. Her work emphasises systems integrity, accountability, and operational resilience, particularly in distributed and constrained environments.
She is the architect and executive lead behind Auvyrn’s initial system, XR6, and oversees the broader Auvyrn systems portfolio, including additional independent programs currently in development.
Katherine holds postgraduate qualifications in Engineering Science and Project Management, with formal training in aerospace engineering and systems assurance. She has served as a lead quality, safety, and data-trust auditor across aerospace and occupied operational sites and holds numerous certifications relevant to government and military systems.
Auvyrn was founded to address a persistent systems gap in high-risk environments: the absence of decision systems capable of operating across domains while preserving assurance, traceability, and accountability.
The company’s mandate is to design and deliver cross-domain technical architectures that remain dependable under operational, regulatory, and sovereign constraints, even as complexity increases. This work is anchored in correctness, resilience, and explain-ability over speed or novelty.
Auvyrn operates with a deliberately lean governance model calibrated to system criticality. Technical work is structured for clarity, accountability, and effective collaboration, while avoiding unnecessary process overhead.
Specialist capability is valued over headcount growth. Governance, assurance, and review are applied where they materially improve system integrity, safety, or trust, and omitted where they do not.
